Sony Ericsson to launch more phones

Posted on Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 21:13:02 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Miles Flint, president of Sony Ericsson, said at the Reuters Telecoms, Media and Technology Summut in Paris that its company will boost its handset diversity.

While Sony Ericsson only launched seven cell phones in 2004, it will more than double the figure this year, and increase it even more next year.

Flint said Sony Ericsson plans to become a top three cell phone manufacturer, currently they are number 6. They will also boost their low-end selection due to demand from carriers.
