Windows Media Player 11 planned for early 2006

Posted on Sunday, May 29 2005 @ 00:34:07 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Windows Media Player 11 is planned for early 2006, originally it would have been only a slight update of WMP10 but that changed drastically.

Microsoft decided to cancel Aurora and will now release Polaris, the Longhorn media player, as Windows Media Player 11.

In November a public beta of WMP11 will be launched, together with Longhorn Beta 2.
