DigiTimes had a chat with Taiwanese notebook vendors and heard they are conservative about NVIDIA's Tegra 3 and may considering adopting Qualcomm's Snapdragon or TI's OMAP4 instead.
Taiwan-based notebook vendors are conservative about adopting Nvidia's Tegra 3 processors and may consider platforms developed by Qualcomm or Texas Instruments (TI) in 2012, according to industry sources.

Although Nvidia's Tegra 3 features a quad-core architecture that consumes 61% less power than that of Tegra 2, and several new technologies such as vSMP, to help significantly boost performance, Qualcomm's advance in its new Snapdragon S4, and TI with its OMAP 4 processors still allow the two competitors to catch up to Nvidia, the sources noted.
