Intel preparing for early quad-core, just like AMD

The Inq says Intel will make an early debut with quad-core processors, just like AMD will do in Q1 2006.

Anyhow, where would you get the engineers to do such a thing? Easy, kill the Itanic (IPF) projects wholesale. Look at the sudden disappearance of Kingsland, the scaling back of Montvale and others to figure out where the people came from. More details at The Inquirer
