How McDonalds creates its burger photo ads

If you've ever compared your fast food hamburger with the burger in the advertisements you've probably noticed that your actual meal looks a lot less tasty than those perfect burgers from the marketing machine. In the YouTube clip below, McDonalds' Canada unit reveals how a marketing shot of the Quarter-Pounder with Cheese is created. It includes quite a lot of work, the vegetables are positioned with surgical precision, the cheese gets molten with a blowtorch and the sauce is added with a syringe. Afterwards, the photo is retouched in Photoshop to achieve unnatural perfection.



I'm actually quite surprised they released this video because it's proof that their advertising is fake.
