12 of the most annoying technologies

Posted on Friday, September 14 2012 @ 19:47:16 CEST by

Wired has published a list of 12 of world's most annoying technologies, you can read it over here. It includes things like your camera flash, which usually doesn't work the way you want it to work, the bloaty and insecure Adobe Flash plug-in, on-screen alphabetic keyboards, and more. One piece of software I'd like to add to the list is Adobe Reader, this program wants to update almost every time you open it (because it's full of security flaws), and yet still looks almost the same as a decade ago.
Camera Flash
Here’s the deal with the flash on your camera: Most of the time it doesn’t help. You’re either too far away from the action or you’re too close. That photo you shot at the concert? Still dark. The flash didn’t help, and everyone within a four-foot radius is nightblind now. That photo from the girls’ night out where your friends were two feet away? The flash made them look like ghouls. Go to your smartphone or camera’s settings and turn off the flash. Do it now.
