DigiTimes heard from sources at PC makers that Intel plans to continue serving the entry-level desktop market with its Atom D2500 and D2550 as well as the Celeron 807 and 847 CPUs until well into 2013. The site heard the CPU's life cycles are set to last at least until Q3 2013.
The Atom D2550 and D2500 are paired with NM10 chipsets, while the Celeron 847 (1.1GHz) and Celeron 807 (1.5GHz) are paired with NM70 chipsets and feature a power consumption of 17W, the sources noted.
