Toshiba shows off the MQ01ABD, a new line of 2.5" hybrid hard disks for mobile devices. These new 5400RPM SATA 6Gbps disks have the standard 9.5mm notebook HDD thickness, they feature two platters and offer a storage capacity of 750GB (MQ01ABD075H) or 1TB (MQ01ABD100H).
What makes these disks hybrid is the included 8GB 32nm SLC NAND flash memory, this cache memory promises to quicken startup times and boost application performance.
