TPU came across a report that Super Flower has released its first fanless 500W 80Plus Platinum certified power supply. The model features modular cabling and comes with 5-year warranty or lifetime warranty options. It's available in China for 799 yuan, about US$127.
The SF-500P14FG features active PFC, LLC half-bridge resonant circuitry, synchronous rectifiers, DC-to-DC switching, and a single +12V rail design. The fan makes way for a chunky metal heatsink with vents. The heatsink directly draws heat from hot components such as FETs and rectifying bridge.
