33 CPU coolers compared

Posted on Thursday, February 21 2013 @ 14:27:39 CET by

HardwareInfo compiled a grand review of 33 processor coolers, you can check it out over here. In the roundup, the site tests the coolers on LGA1155 (95W and 125W) as well as on LGA2011 (130W and 160W).
Three CPU coolers in this group test earned the Hardware.Info Gold Award. The Cooler Master TPC-800 using the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1450rpm fan is the most efficient cooler we tested. It cools really well and doesn't make much noise. The expensive Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 is definitely worth the money. It's in the top 5 for cooling, but is the only one that's still relatively quiet. WIth the fan running on low speed, it made the top 3 for most silent cooler. The very affordable Cooler Master Hyper 412S is the best cheap cooler in this test, also good for a Gold Award.
