NVIDIA to debut GeForce 6600 LE at 75-79EUR

Posted on Friday, July 29 2005 @ 20:56:07 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

NVIDIA is playing some aggressive pricing games to snoop away marketshare from ATI. Soon they will come up with a SLI capable GeForce 6600 LE with 128MB memory and 128 bit interface which will retail for only 75-79EUR.

The GeForce 6600LE is said to be faster than the 6200 series and will likely be a four pipeline card with 300MHz core and 550MHz memory. Three versions will ship: a 128MB version with 64 bit memory interface, one with 128MB and 128 bit memory and one with 256MB and 128 bit memory interface.

Competitor ATI currently does not have an answer to this card as their upcoming lower-end X800GT will cost about 150EUR and CrossFire is still not available. More info at The Inquirer
