Microsoft not worried about Sony's PlayStation 3

Posted on Sunday, July 31 2005 @ 06:10:01 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Bill Gates said at a meeting with financial analysts that he isn't worried about the PlayStation 3:
"Our view is basically we've got a Ferrari, they've got a Ferrari," Gates said in a question-and-answer session at Thursday's meeting with financial analysts. "Our Ferrari is leaving the starting line substantially before their Ferrari is, and in most races that's a very nice thing."
Microsoft's Xbox 360 will be available on the market this holiday season, while Sony's PS3 is expected to arrive next spring. The company claims it will get a benefit from greater developer support this time since it has a set of easy developer tools. More info at CNET
