NVIDIA just introduced its GeForce GTX 980 Ti, this is a cheaper version of the Titan X. This 250W TDP card uses a 28nm GM200 based GPU with 2816 CUDA cores, 176 TMUs, 96 ROPs, 384-bit memory bus and 6GB GDDR5 memory. It is clocked at 1000MHz for the core, 1075MHz Boost and 7010MHz for the memory. The main difference with the Titan X is that it has two disabled SMMs and half the memory.

Pricing of the GTX 980 Ti comes in at $649.99 and more good news is that the pricing of the GTX 980 has been cut by $50 to $499.99!

Initial reviews show that, give or take a small number of percentage points, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti delivers almost the same performance as the Titan X. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up with AMD's incoming Fiji GPU!
