Rock Band is heading to the Oculus Rift (video)

A couple of years ago music games like Rock Band were pretty big and now developers are looking to create a more immersive experience by tapping into the VR market. Harmonix announced the next entry in the series will be designed for the Oculus Rift headset, it will enable gamers to play the guitar while looking out over the audience. The virtual reality headset places you on the stage of a virtual concert venue and promises to make you feel like a real rock star. Few details are available but the game should be ready in 2016.
Oculus and Harmonix are excited to announce that Rock Bandâ„¢ is coming to the Rift in 2016! This brand new made-for-VR game inspired by the original Rock Bandâ„¢, from developer Harmonix, places you on a virtual stage living out the ultimate rock and roll fantasy, only for the Oculus Rift.
