KitGuru came across a cool demonstration from Noitom, which put together a fnger tracking system to be used in combination with a VR headset like the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift.

The tech demo used the HTC Vive, it was reportedly created in just three weeks time and uses a set of gloves in combination with a motion tracking stick. The demo is a bit crude but hand tracking technology definitely has a lot of potential to make VR a lot more immersive.

In the clip below, you can see how the technology handles individual finger motion, the opening and closing of the hand, and some fairly complex motions.

Noitom also showed off a digital gun, ideal for VR shooters.

The company reportedly reached out to HTC/Valve in hopes of getting the product to the market. The HTC Vive is delayed by the way, more about that in a couple of minutes in our next news update.
