AMD Ryzen Threadripper to be available early August, Cinebench scores revealed

AMD is bringing its communication directly to the consumer with the release of a new video that highlights the upcoming Ryzen Threadripper and Ryzen 3 product lines.

Here are some of the highlights:
  • Ryzen 3 1200: 4-core, 4-threaded, 3.1GHz base and 3.4GHz Turbo

  • Ryzen 3 1300X: 4-core, 4-threaded, 3.5GHz base and 3.7GHz Turbo

  • Ryzen 3 will be available worldwide on July 27th

  • Ryzen Threadripper 1920X: 12-core, 24-threaded, 3.5GHz base, 4.0GHz Turbo, $799

  • Ryzen Threadripper 1950X: 16-core, 32-threaded, 3.4GHz base, 4.0GHz Turbo, $999

  • Ryzen Treadripper will be available early August

  • AMD benchmarks Cinebench on Threadripper 1920X and Threadripper 1950X. Compares it with the Intel Core i9-7900X. The 1920X scores 2431, the 1950X does 3062 and the Intel Core i9-7900X delivers a score of 2167. So 1950X beats 7900X by about 41 percent in this test.

  • More details about Threadripper processors as well as the entire Vega video card line wil be revealed at SIGGRAPH.
