Microsoft leaks Xbox 360 Live pricing

Posted on Wednesday, August 31 2005 @ 19:29:56 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Pricing of the Xbox 360 Live system has leaked to the World Wide Web. Basic access to Xbox Live will be available for free but if you want to use it to play games you'll need the Live Gold service.

Microsoft accidentally leaked this information to Xbox Live France who got their hands on scans of the marketing materials.

The most expensive subscription service will be Premium Gold. This 12 month subscription will cost $69.99 and you'll get a communications headset, the Xbox Live arcade game "Billiards", a $20 discount on an Xbox 360 game purchase and 200 points to spend in the Xbox Live marketplace where you will be able to download new levels, characters, items, ... for games.

There's also a basic 12 month subscription for $59.99 which features a 13th month for free or a 3 and 1 month subscription for respectively $19.99 and $7.99.
