All the custom-design Vega cards are slowly trickling to the marketplace. Today there's news from Sapphire that the company finished its Radeon RX Vega NITRO+ lineup. This series features a triple-fan cooling solution with the Sapphire Vapor-X technology.
The cards are equipped with fancy RGB LEDs and feature a whopping three 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The NITRO+ series from Sapphire are the only Vega cards so far to have three 8-pin connectors, all other models have two. Sapphire equipped the card with 7+1 phase VRM and even ships a VGA support bracket with the card to ensure the PCB doesn't bend.
Sapphire's NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega64 is clocked at 1423MHz, has a 1611MHz Boost and 8GB HBM2 with a 945MHz frequency. That's faster than the 1247MHz/1546MHz clocks of the reference cards, but still lower than the 1677MHz Boost of AMD's Liquid Edition.
The RX Vega 56 NITRO+ card is clocked at 1305MHz, has a 1572MHz Boost and 8GB HBM2 clocked at 800MHz. This compares to reference clocks of 1156MHz with a 1471MHz Boost.
Based on the Boost speeds, the NITRO+ series from Sapphire may be the fastest air-cooled Vega cards on the block.
