TweakTown picked up news that NVIDIA is developing a chip that will use TSMC's upcoming 5nm process. Exact details are unknown, but it's certain that this chip is not the Ampere GPU that will be used for the upcoming RTX 3000 lineup. It could be a new console gaming chip or perhaps a new automotive chip, but that's pure speculation.
There is absolutely nothing else to this news other than Digitimes reporting that its sources have told them, that NVIDIA is making something new and mysterious on TSMC's new 5nm process node. It could be something for the Tegra side of things, or here's a wild rumor -- so prepare your salt shakers peeps -- the Nintendo Switch 2 SoC. Just throwing that out there.
