AMD Big Navi is reportedly planned for November and Moore's Law is Dead claims it may be much more impressive than expected. Ampere is expected in September, which will give AMD some time to evaluate how to position its next-gen GPUs.
The channel's sources claim that the Radeon RX 5700 XT's successor could offer 195-225 percent more performance.
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3000 reportedly has a lot more ray-tracing performance. Turing was the first to deliver real-time ray tracing but NVIDIA received a lot of ridicule as performance was quite slow. This may change with Ampere, which is rumored to offer a massive 3-4 performance upgrade in terms of ray tracing, if this rumor is to be believed.
Ampere reportedly also introduces DLSS 3.0, which should work with any game that supports TAA. Moore's Law is Dead also claims NVIDIA may turn DLSS 3.0 on be default, which could skew benchmark results. Overall quality is said to be higher than DLSS 2.0.
