With only about one more week to go until the official announcement, more and more Ampere leaks are popping up. Over the weekend, VideoCardz spotted the first photo of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 video cards. The picture features the GeForce RTX 2080 for comparison and this shows that NVIDIA's new flagship is a massive beast.

The GeForce RTX 3090 not only occupies three PCIe slots but it's also a lot longer and wider than the GeForce RTX 2080. The leaker claims the card could cost around $1,400 but this information should be taken with a grain of salt as NVIDIA is known to change this at the very last minute. VideoCardz writes pricing is often impossible to confirm, even hours before the embargo gets lifted. The official announcement is scheduled for September 1st.
The irregular shaped PCB appears to be present on this sample codenamed ‘Config 1’ as well. Two fans are installed on opposite sides of the card. Unlike the sample leaked back in June, this card features a fully black design. The sample codenamed RTX 3080 in the prior leak was a 2-slot card.
