Intel keeping Pentium 4 prices ''stable'' until Q1 2003

Posted on Friday, October 25 2002 @ 13:16:59 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

TheInquirer writes that the prices of the P4's will stay the same with the introduction of the Pentium 4 3.06GHz, unless Intel changes their mind again the next price cuts will be in the Q1 of next year :
WHILE, as noted here earlier, Intel will now introduce its hyperthreaded 3.06GHz now on the 14th of November, it has committed itself to keeping the price of its other Pentium 4s stable well into Q1 of next year, according to October confidential roadmaps seen by the INQUIRER at the Delhi Intercontinental Hotel bar earlier this week.

The 3.06GHz Pentium 4 will cost $637, the 2.8GHz will cost $401, and the 2.66/2.6GHz variants will cost $305.

And then we will wait for the next price cuts "well into Q1 of next year", unless Intel changes its mind again.
