Posted on Monday, October 31 2005 @ 15:12:05 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The Inquirer reports ATI's Radeon X1800 is capable of handling much more than 512MB of memory.
    >br> The memory controller is very flexible and can even support future memory standards such as GDDR4 and as memory prices go down ATI might introduce a Radeon X1800 with 1024MB memory.

The GeForce 7800 GTX memory controller from NVIDIA is limited at 512MB.
