PQI launches mTrix portable media player

PQI has launched a new clamshell-style digital audio player, the mTrix. It measures 3 x 3 x 1 inch but features only 32MB memory. Fortunately you can expand this with either SD or Multimedia Cards up to 2GB. The player has a 2-inch LCD display and can play back videos and image files.

  • Image -- JPEG Format, Slide Show, Thumbnails, Zoom and Pan Support
  • Video -- ASF (ISO MPEG-4 Video V1), AVI/MOV (Motion JPEG)
  • Equalizer -- Normal, POP, Jazz, Rock
  • Audio Effects -- 3D sound enhancement, Bass, Treble
  • PIMS -- Calendar, Clock
  • PC Program -- mTrix file format Converting Software, USB Driver
  • Slot -- for MMC and SD Cards
  • Languages -- English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese
  • The PQI mTrix is priced at $149 and comes with a replaceable and rechargeable Li-Ion 3.7V 1050mAh battery, ear bud earphones, an AC adaptor with USB 2.0 cable and a daytime carrying pouch.
