Intel to launch Viiv at CES 2006

Posted on Monday, November 28 2005 @ 23:59:32 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The Inq writes Intel will launch its Viiv platform at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2006.
Intel is telling selected hacks - we're not numbered amongst that crew, that you can now...

"...watch live digital and recorded TV programs, listen to music, check emails, burn DVDs, play PC games, surf the web--all under one roof. The Plix-Q media center will be made available in January 06. Ricavision, a leading provider of home digital entertainment solutions will be introducing the Intel VIIV-certified PLIX-Q Reload at CES. It features Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 allowing consumers to manage their professionals’ lives while having access to high-quality music, video, and photos—all of which can be synced to portable devices."
