ATI: we are the largest chipset maker in the world

Posted on Thursday, December 29 2005 @ 16:50:50 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

HWzone Israel posted a new article, this time it's about The ATi's vision in various subjects and an interview with the company's officials. In the article you can find information about ATi's plans in the graphic cards, chipsets and home entertainment markets, and its relations with Microsoft in the development of the XBOX 360.
According to the data displayed by ATi at the event, ATi is the largest company in the independent chipsets market (that is, companies that manufacture only chipsets, not CPUs). This market includes such companies as nVIDIA (the nForce chipset), ULi, SiS and VIA.

ATi claims its the largest company in this market - at least by the number of chips currently being shipped to motherboard manufacturers.
