ATI Radeon X1900 - how fast will it be?

Posted on Friday, December 30 2005 @ 23:17:38 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The Inquirer heard ATI's upcoming Radeon X1900 (R580) will be a bit faster than NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB, but likely slower than the upcoming top-end NVIDIA G71.
SO, HOW FAST While some games track 3DMark closely, others do not, so ATI will probably be more than that little bit ahead on a number of games, but this new card is probably not the clean kill ATI would want it to be. The top end G71 should have little trouble eclipsing it in most things.
