Samsung recently unveiled a quite interesting digital audio player, the Samsung YP-D1. It's available with 1GB and 2GB storage capacity and features a 2 megapixel digital camera and even a built-in speaker.

The device plays MPEG4 movies and can display photos and text on its 1.8-inch 260k color LCD screen.

In addition to taking pictures with up to 4 times zoom, the device plays MPEG4 video and supports MP3, WMA, OGG, JPEG, and text files. The built-in speaker lets the unit double as a mini-radio, allowing users to listen to music while playing back pictures. The YP-D1’s voice recording capability lets users can record audio to go along with their photos.

The player features 20 hours of battery life and can act as a USB host, enabling users to display stored content on a TV. It also features built-in radio and has support for Microsoft Play For Sure to play DRM protected audio files.

The player will be available next month. The 1GB version costs $249 and the 2GB one $299.
