    Samsung SH-B022 - a Blu-ray burner reviewed

Posted on Saturday, January 28 2006 @ 08:20:21 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

German computer magazine CT Magazine had the chance to take a look at a preproduction model of Samsung's SH-B022 Blu-ray burner.

They liked what they saw, and said the burner didn't have AACS copy-protection. Burning a 25GB disc takes about 43 minutes but keep in mind that this is one of the first drives. Faster versions will come out a bit later, without a doubt.

The final model will be available in April and it will retail for about $499. The final version will have copy protection but will also be able to write double-layer 50GB discs.
