PC Mag checked out a 50-inch DLP TV from Optoma but they don't seem to be extremely pleased with it.. Here's a short snip:
Rear-projection televisions (RPTVs) continue to be the best value for big-screen viewing enjoyment. But their image quality can vary dramatically, as designers face the challenge of guiding processed light within the confines of space-efficient cabinets. The 50-inch Optoma RD50A ($2,999 list) DLP RPTV meets this challenge head on, providing native high-definition resolution in an attractive thin-bezel design. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the RD50A's poor color accuracy and ineffective user menu..
