The burgeoning market for portable media players includes big names like Archos, Creative, and iriver, but there are smaller, lesser known vendors in the business as well, like Datexx. Datexx bills its Pavio PVR30T as a "personal digital theater." It's a bit on the chunky side, measuring 5.5 by 3.1 by 1.1 inches and weighing 12 ounces, but it has lots of features, including Secure Digital and CompactFlash card slots and the ability to record video from any analog source to its 30GB hard drive. The device lacks the polish needed to satisfy discriminating consumers, but at $599 direct, we can see its being useful and versatile enough for real estate agents or other professionals who need to get a multimedia message across but don't need top-notch audiovisual quality. Head over to PCMag to read more about this portable media player (PMP).
