    Corsair XTreme TWIN2X1024A-5400UL Review

Posted on Tuesday, November 08 2005 @ 08:38:32 CET by LSDsmurf

Corsair is at it again with a PC2 5400 TwinX dual channel kit of Ultra Low latency DDR2-667. This particular kit of memory uses an Ancient Overclocking Proverb "....add more voltage" to achieve the ultra low latency settings which Corsair has verified through testing. I tested the memory on two different platforms. The nVidia nForce4 SLI Intel Edition Chipset and the Intel 955X chipset. Yes, the 3/3/2/8 timings functioned perfectly well on both boards. With that kind of headroom, Overclocking the memory was the next step. How far did we go? That can be found inside.
