The FX-60 is probably the last Socket 939 based FX CPU from AMD and instead of closing this chapter with a bang, it seems as though AMD is saving all their fireworks for their upcoming M2 socket based CPUs. Compared to the FX-57 which is clocked at 2.8GHz, the FX-60 drops the speed down to 2.6GHz, however, AMD adds a second core. So basically, the FX-60 is a 2.6GHz dual core CPU with 1MB cache for each core- or 200MHz faster than similarly spec’ed the X2-4800..
