You’ve battled your way through dozens of traps, hundred of enemies out for your blood, and it’s starting to feel like you’re in a sauna. With your health dangerously low and your weapon at the ready, you make your way around the narrow ledge where the slightest misstep can send you plummeting to your death. Suddenly, an inhuman roar from your surround-sound speakers fills the room, as something huge with glowing eyes swoops down through the darkness with terrifying speed towards you. Your heart leaps in your throat and your mouse feels like it’s been dipped in bucket of oil, as it slips in your hand just enough to send you off the ledge—but not before you’re impaled by a massive pair of talons and flown off to a fate worse that death—hitting the Reload key for the umpteenth time.
