ATI x800 XT Premium Edition Review

Posted on Tuesday, May 04 2004 @ 17:54:41 CEST by LSDsmurf

Pixel and Texel fillrate of up to 8.4 Gigapixels/sec, up to 37 GB/sec of raw bandwidth and 12 or 16 pipeline architecture are the key features when it comes to X800 performance. Due to its sophisticated 0.13-micron Low-K dielectric process, very efficient GDDR3 memory interface and superior pixel shader architecture (12 or 16 pixel pipelines and 6 vertex units), RADEON X800 (x800 XT Premium Edition) easily doubles the performance of its high-end predecessor - RADEON 9800XT. " On a personal side note - yesterday someone 'stumbled' onto a test-editor we set up where we temporarily had stored a old copy of the text for this preview. Not only did they leak out the text from the preview, but they also actually did change it. So any text you might have seen 'stolen' from us the last 24 hours was not only a earlier copy of the final preview, it was also tampered text. It's sad that some individuals just can't wait for the final articles to be posted but I guess that is how it is
