Seagate NL35 400 GB Hard Drive Review

Posted on Wednesday, March 29 2006 @ 17:06:21 CEST by LSDsmurf

Exciting things have been coming from Seagate lately, like their NL35 nearline hard drive. Nearline storage is the fastest growing segment is enterprise tiered storage networks, so this is an interesting product and an important move for Seagate who is a late-comer to this part of the market. This article takes a look at Seagate's NL35 ST3400832NS, a 3.5" hard drive an enterprise drive which is actually an upgraded version of the Barracuda series. The drive tested was a 400 GB SATA model, though they are also available in 250 GB and 500 GB sizes.
