Any horror movie is less about the actors and more about the situations they're put into. The heaviest lifting they need to do is generally looking terrified and screaming. And as is often the case in the horror genre, the cast of Silent Hill is only so-so. None of the performances or actors stood out to me. In particular, Sean Bean struck me as someone who is eminently forgettable, and simply looked pained through his scenes, as if the only direction given him was to pretend he hadn't had a bowel movement in months. But at least Silent Hill has the Borg Queen in it...
