Altec Lansing AHP612 Wireless Headphones Review

Posted on Wednesday, May 10 2006 @ 12:49:11 CEST by LSDsmurf

Another wireless product up on the test block, this time it's the Altec Lansing's AHP612 Wireless Headphones. These headphones do not use the ever popular Bluetooth wireless technology. Instead they use omni-directional 900 MHz technology that delivers clear, accurate sound through walls, floors and ceilings. Bluetooth is limited by its short distance range so let’s see how these headphones compare to the previous ones we looked at.

After 2 years of quality operation with my TV the Headphones stopped operating. Found the power adapter was putting out 22Vdc not 12 Vdc as stated on the adapter, apparently the high voltage finally blew components on the printed circuit board inside the earpiece.
