    VisionTek Xtasy X800 Pro Review

Posted on Monday, May 24 2004 @ 19:58:33 CEST by LSDsmurf

In 1988 four friends started a small DRAM brokerage company in a small Chicago apartment. Can anyone guess what company this would be? If you guessed VisionTek you are right. Being one of the best graphics card manufacturers hasn't been an easy task for VisionTek in the past, especially starting with the switchover from nVidia cards to ATI not too long ago. Through all these changes VisionTek continues to deliver quality products at more than reasonable prices, but the best part is that long forgotten idea that always comes up if you have a technical problem. Can you call the company that you bought the card from and get decent service? If you even care about that concept then VisionTek is your best bet. Of course offering excellent technical service is all but one of VisionTek's missions, their other is to be a leading BBA (Built By ATI) developer and distributor. Seeing as how as of this date, VisionTek is the only available BBA x800 Pro, I think they accomplished this task. You can bet that ClubOC is greatly privileged at this point to be able to give the newest offering from VisionTek a whirl, but we're going to do one better and overclock the crap out of it! If you are an Overclocker like we are, you're gonna love this...but before we give you some insanely fast benchmark numbers, lets dig into the details of this phenomenal product.
