Instead of trying to be all things to all people, the slim but powerful BlackBerry 8700g from T-Mobile does a few things and does them well: push e-mail, Web browsing, and instant messaging. It's also a pretty good organizer. The 8700g isn't perfect, but you won't find an easier-to-use or more capable smart phone for $299.
