Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB Review

Posted on Wednesday, August 02 2006 @ 12:52:01 CEST by LSDsmurf

The Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB drive boasts 1.2 million hours MTBF, 10,000RPM spindle speed, 16MB buffer, NCQ (native command queuing), data transfer rate of 1.5GB/s and a 5-year warranty. The Raptor drives are really an enterprise-class hard drive, but all this goodness comes at a cost – price wise they fall between full SCSI drives and consumer level SATA drives. Only the true enthusiast need apply.
