The latest trend on laptops right now is dual-core CPUs and for that ASUS turned to Intel’s Pentium M T2300 clocked at 1.66GHz – it offers excellent performance in a cool package that’s battery-friendly. P4 doesn’t make sense at all in a laptop due to its extremely-high battery requirements and the heat it displaces. Pentium M has a very short pipeline which means that it’s a very efficient design that is faster than P4 – clock for clock.
