    Laptop manufacturers have also realised that battery-life considerations play an important part in the decision-making process for most users looking for a thin-and-light laptop. To this end, most respectable vendors offer you the choice of a larger battery at the time of purchase, usually one that physically protrudes from the rear of the laptop. This way, modern laptops can be endowed with a 5hr+ mobile life from a single battery. You can, of course, choose to purchase a secondary battery for longer runtimes. Expensive pricing and proprietary fitting somewhat limits their appeal, however..
