The package for the FireStix is the standard blister pack that unfolds. This package has a staple on each side versus being glued shut. The RAM modules were held securely in place in the pockets of the package. Once the modules were removed, I inspected the RAM thoroughly to look for any damage and everything looked good. What stands out the most about the Buffalo FireStix, other then the high over clocking speeds, is the bright red heat-spreaders. The heat-spreaders are held securely to the RAM modules with double-sided tape and locked into place with some clips over the heat-spreaders.
