First let's put these two ASUS coolers into perspective; they are extremely quiet, light weight and every easy to install. The only down side seems to be their lack of performance and while they were not poor performers, they struggled to match the standard AMD box cooler. However, as far as standard box coolers go this AMD version is no joke, keeping the Athlon64 3800+ well below 40 degrees when under load. The standard Chilly Vent using the 80mm 1550-RPM fan allowed the Athlon64 3800+ to hit 42 degrees during the stress testing. This made the Chilly Vent 6 degrees warmer than the standard AMD cooler.
