With money saved over several years and leftover scholarship awards, I spent a good portion of the summer researching laptops. Personally, I wanted a relatively portable, quiet, powerful, and cool laptop within the 14" to 15.4" range. The laptop will be used for moderate gaming, web surfing, music, word processing and whatever apps biomedical engineering throws at me. Core 2 Duo (Merom) support was also another requirement for my notebook..
