    Albatron PX875P Pro Motherboard Review

Posted on Tuesday, July 06 2004 @ 17:07:10 CEST by LSDsmurf

The Albatron PX875P Pro Motherboard uses a Phoenix Award BIOS D686 ROM that is located behind the PCI slots. A 3COM Marvell 920-MV00 chip is responsible for handling the integrated 10/100 LAN duties followed by a Winbond W83627THF I/O controller chip slightly above. Designed to work in conjunction with the BIOS, Albatron has implemented a feature entitled Watch Dog which acts as an overclocking precautionary. In the event of inputting an invalid frequency that prevents the motherboard from POSTing, the Watch Dog feature will automatically load the last known proper settings thus preventing the need to manually clear the CMOS.
