    ThermalRight SLK948U Heatsink Review

Posted on Tuesday, July 06 2004 @ 17:13:47 CEST by LSDsmurf

ThermalRight has held the KOTH for quite awhile with their SLK900U. As soon as the Athlon64 version was released, I just had to check it out. I was concerned about the temps my A64 3200 was reaching with the stock HSF so it couldn't have come at a better time. ThermalRight has released quite a few new heatsinks since our review of the 900. The 900 series is a force to be reckoned with; they are dominating the field with this series. Small changes to each unit ensure performance and compatibility with whatever platform you choose. The funny thing is that the original still seems to perform the best; even the added heat pipes of the SP series couldn't tackle the temps of the SLK900U.
