The three USB 2.0 ports are located on one of the short sides of the unit, which is just wide enough to accommodate these. As you plug devices into the 3 ports, lights located on the top of the unit will light up. These lights don't seem to serve much purpose other than a rudimentary check that the cable is plugged in firmly, but still a nice feature. On the opposite side there is the USB to computer and 5V power port.
