    ABIT AG8 Motherboard Review

Posted on Monday, July 12 2004 @ 23:01:19 CEST by LSDsmurf

The AG8 is one of ABIT’s premier unveilings based around the LGA775 spec. ABIT chose to couple this board with the Intel 915P chipset, which boasts full support for all LGA775 based processors, DDR RAM operating in Dual Channel mode, as well as PCI Express type devices. The AG8 board itself is a feature complete solution, only requiring the addition of processor, RAM, video card, and drives. ABIT chose to integrated the following components into the AG8: 1 IDE ATA-133 port; 4 SATA-150 ports; 8 USB 2.0 capable ports (4 in rear panel, and 2 onboard headers supporting 2 ports each); 3 IEEE 1394a capable ports (1 in rear panel, 2 onboard headers supports 2 ports each); Realtek Gigabit Ethernet; Realtek 6 channel audio codec featuring S/PDIF input/output ports; on-board diagnostic 2 digit LED display; and serial, parallel, and PS/2 port support.
